‘COVID-19: The Teen Experience’ primarily focuses on teenagers from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and showcases their bold response to the George Floyd killing and the subsidence protests. The film also brings attention to a 2nd generation Burmese-American, who was encouraged to learn about her origin as a result of the Myanmar coup of February 2021. Despite having a low production value, due to be filmed on smartphones, the documentary doesn’t fault in getting its message across. A fascinating insight of a teenage perspective. Highly recommended.
