Rod Lara’s creative spirit is on top-form in ‘Rise’ – his performance is highly entertaining from start to finish. Despite a low production value, the film shines bright through performance alone and will certainly keep viewers engaged. The short concludes with Banjo rising out of his miserable confinement. The premise of rise will relate to many around the world who have experienced the restraints of lockdown and loneliness. Lara is a fine performer who deserves high praise for his craft.
