4/5

Review

Harry Waldman’s short thriller skillfully navigates the intricate dynamics between two brothers, played with remarkable depth and intensity by Peter Mastne and Rich Holton, as it delves into Brian’s crippling anxiety and hypersensitivity when his younger brother Jeremy comes to stay in town. The tension between them escalates as Brian’s mounting demands and unease amplify the challenges of cohabitation, ultimately pushing him to the brink of desperation. Mastne’s portrayal of Brian as a frantic, unraveling soul is both haunting and incredibly convincing.

Waldman takes the audience on a suspenseful journey through Brian’s troubled psyche, culminating in a shocking and disturbing twist that leaves a lasting impact. The storytelling is both engaging and thought-provoking, as it explores the darker corners of the human mind and the complexities of sibling relationships.

Lance Eliot Adams’s cinematography is commendable, skillfully employing angles and lighting to heighten the film’s tone and atmosphere. The film successfully immerses viewers in a tense and ominous atmosphere, keeping them on the edge of their seats from start to finish. In this short but compelling narrative, Waldman and his cast and crew deliver a thrilling and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
