The 2-minute film opens with Johanna and Jasmijn camping on the snow in Timmelsjoch, Austria. Vast walls of snow have built-up along the road, which provides stunning scenery for their thrill-seeking sport. The film acts as a showcase to the extreme sport and their talent. The documentary is purely visual with no dialogue from start to finish.
Jakob Schweighofer, Johannes Hoffmann & Pablo Quiles have delivered outstanding cinematography – which will captivate and engage the viewer from the off-set. Fine editing, combined with dramatic music, results in a stimulating watch. Johanna Bolanos Cabrera and Jasmijn Hanegraef are clearly courageous and gifted at their sport – flaunted by the stunning landscapes and awe-inspiring cinematography. The short would be enhanced by personal interviews of Johanna and Jasmijn about the sport and their hunger for adventure. ‘Between Walls’ gives audiences an insight into longboarding – which will be a treat for some. A fine adventure short.
