Jason Hooker’s coming-of-age drama film follows the journey of a young photographer who must leave his loved ones behind to pursue his aspirations overseas. The emotional tale focuses on the personal sacrifices that must be made in order to achieve one’s dreams. Jack Michel’s stellar performance as the central character, enhances the narrative and gives weight to the story.

The film sheds light on the difficulties of leaving loved ones behind and the emotional toll it can take on individuals. The emotional turmoil captured in the film is heart rending, as Jack Michel takes the audience on a rollercoaster ride, filled with hope, despair and ultimately a bittersweet end. The dedication to one’s passion at a cost to everything else is an emotional theme, and Hooker’s film adds authenticity to this idea.

The outstanding widescreen cinematography by Matthew Nguyen enhances the film, capturing the location and location in poetic and touching manner. Nguyen’s lens work brings the character development to life convincingly. What this film ultimately is, is a moving and emotional piece of work that engages in sincere conversation about bitter sacrifices and well-being. It would be hard for anyone to not feel a profound connection with the characters after having gone through such an emotional and thought-provoking narrative.
