Brewer’s direction is gripping and tense throughout, and she maintains a palpable sense of unease as Leanne’s mental state deteriorates and the killer’s presence looms ever larger over her. The mysterious correspondence from the killer is unnerving, adding to the emotional turmoil and setting up the film’s startling twist.
The film is technically impressive, with Brent Scott’s cinematography capturing the haunting atmosphere and emotion of the story. The acting is great, with Mindy Wood delivering a nuanced and complex performance that drives the plot forward.
