Review

‘Enough for You’ is one of those rare shorts where you can practically see the talent in every frame. Justin Mawardi is a one-man powerhouse behind this project – he writes, directs, shoots, edits, and even stars as Jay, a young guy whose fear of abandonment has him building walls so high, not even love can climb over them. Not only that, Mawardi gives a performance that’s as raw as it gets. You can feel the fear pulsing through Jay’s veins, a man trapped in his own head, scared to let anyone in because he’s convinced they’ll just leave him behind.

Then there’s Hannah Raquel as Skye, the light in Jay’s darkness. She’s not just a love interest; she’s the anchor, the steady force that keeps Jay from drifting off into the abyss of his anxieties. Raquel nails it with a portrayal that’s both soothing and powerful, balancing Jay’s emotional turmoil with her calm, steady presence. She’s the voice of reason in a storm of fear, and she makes you believe in love’s power to heal.

But what’s truly astonishing is how Mawardi turns minimal resources into pure cinematic gold. The film looks stunning, even with its no-frills approach. It’s all about the characters, the dialogue, the close-ups that capture every flicker of emotion. You don’t need a big budget when you have this much heart. ‘Enough for You’ is a poignant experience. You’ll feel every heartbeat of this beautifully messy, human story. Highly recommended.
